Traditional treatments like contraception or hysterectomy may address the symptoms for a short while but they don’t tackle the root of the issue.

The immune system experiences dysfunction and dysregulation when managing inflammation. The condition has not been labelled an auto-immune disease, but is seen as a chronic disease. There is a correlation for many who experience certain auto-immune dysfunction such as allergies, asthma, hayfever, etc.

Currently, the only way to get a definitive diagnosis is via a laparoscopy. For doctors to come to this conclusion, it can take 8-10 years for a diagnosis, as endo is frequently confused for conditions like IBS or fibroids.
